Mason jars, cast objects, preserved food
I create work that is humourous yet has a deeper meaning. Inspired by conceptual art and pop art, my work involves juxtaposition: I contrast sinister objects with pastel colour or realistic paintings with crackle textures. Creating artworks with tension is a key factor in setting my work apart from the work of others. My works give the audience a playful interactive experience, wanting to interact with the work and eventually to understand the meaning behind it. I use a combination of ready-made and hand-made objects such as dolls, plates, and accessories to produce my work I enjoy adding additional parts or removing parts from found objects to express my personal thought and feeling. I find it aesthetically pleasing to create a brand-new non-existing readymade object that can be only be found in my work.
